Street Art: Favela Painting Project (Santa Marta, Rio, Brazil)

In case you didn’t know, Brazil has more to offer than just good looking people and good looking people.

Artists Jeroen Koolhaas & Dre Urhahn thought so, too. That is why they teamed up with the folks from Let’s Colour Project and enrolled the local community, gave them training and paid them for their help in painting 34 houses located on the Santa Marta hillside, covering 7000+ square meters with colorful paint and changing the face of this otherwise grey part of town into a colorful monument.
