Podcast: Mat Ste-Marie

Toronto-based DJ Mat Ste-Marie is no newcomer to the scene. Celebrating 2011 as his 20th year in the mix, the Montreal native has been developing his signature sound since his early teens. Growing up in Montreal, he was fortunate enough to be schooled on the best dancefloors, by the best DJs. This has made it easy for him to know what it takes for a party to reach that next level, and his podcasts certainly reflect that.

I am Bruce Campbell. Ask Me Anything.

Attention Redditors! Bruce Campbell, the man who impersonated the infamous Ashley J. “Ash” Williams in The Evil Dead and Army of Darkness movies will be taking your questions and answering them today. From the man himself:

Hey Reddit – demon-killer and ex-Navy Seal here to answer your questions. I’ve got someone manning the keyboard for me throughout the day – but I’ll be checking in and replying from 12:30-1:30 EST and again from 4:30-5:30 EST.

Get in the conversation right here.

Live Q&A with Ashley Beedle

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the past 20 years, the name Ashley Beedle is certainly one you’ll recognize. Since the early 90s, having taken part in such projects as Black Science Orchestra, Ballistic Brothers and world-famous X-Press 2, very few can claim to have had an influence as deep (no pun intended) as Beedle has on the electronic music world.

Next April 13th et 1pm GMT (that’s 8am EST for the timezone-challenged), Ashley Beedle will take part in a live Q&A conducted from the Point Blank studios in London, UK. Aside from taking your questions, topics covered will include his approach to making a living from music in 2011, how X-Press 2 put together their infamous 12 deck DJ set up, what it is like to have a top 10 hit, tour worldwide, and his approach to remixing.

Sign of the times: Mickey Mouse Bboy battle

I see you doubt that Disney can successfully transfer to yet another new generation of kids, and counter your argument with this video of Mickey Mouse accepting a breakdance challenge from a young kid visiting the park.
