Swiss artist Fabien Clerc knows what luxury is and loves to take it to new heights. Back in 2009, he put together a full DJ setup including the classic Technics SL-1200MKII turntables and a 2-channel battle mixer, all remodeled by hand out of ceramic. The end result looks like what would have been had there been DJs back in Marie Antoinette’s days, traditionally hand-painted and with the signature gold leaf ornaments. Oh and they are fully functional, too! Let’s just hope the cartridge is magnetic and not ceramic like the rest of the rig.

French artist Xavier Veilhan’s view of reality seems a bit twisted. To our delight of course! Exposed in 2009 at Château de Versailles (France) were a series of “multifaceted” pieces that turned many heads.
